Billionaire Stanford on the Run

February 19, 2009 at 5:39 pm (Celebrities, news) ()

In a surreal turn of events, Sir Allen Stanford, the billionaire from Houston who resides in the Caribbean, sponsor of..I’ve lost count, of how many multi-million dollar Cricket tournaments here in the Caribbean as well……pulled a Bernie Madoff and is now missing in action.

“On February 17, 2009, Stanford was charged by the SEC with fraud and multiple violations of U.S. securities laws for alleged “massive ongoing fraud” involving $8 billion in certificates of deposits.Despite the raid of three of Stanford’s offices in Houston, Memphis, and Tupelo, Mississippi, authorities have not located Stanford.”

Turns out Stanford enticed investors to put money towards a totally fictitious, “high-return Certificate of Deposit that is safer than the stock market”.

I can’t figure out why he would do something as crazy as that for a guy that is a billionaire, and taking advantage of people’s fear of the stock market too. Its like Peter North being charged for rape…”dude, your job is to have sex, why??”

I believe it stems from a disrespect of the Caribbean. Philanthropy my ass. Stanford was the first American to be knighted by Antigua and Barbuda, his adopted home. He has stated before that he would like to stop the brain drain from the Caribbean to first-world countries, bolster tourism and protect the region’s culture among other things. Bullshit.

Antigua and Barbuda has no SEC, or any kind of serious regulation framework to govern the activities of Stanford. Even if they did, the “he’s a good white man” syndrome would prevent them from doing anything. Stanford knows this and took advantage of it. He really doesn’t give a fuck about Cricket. It was a whole PR-scheme, which apparently he is very good at.

Stanford becomes another rich man to fall from grace in recent times. Madoff (fraud), Trump (bankruptcy), Duprey (bankruptcy), Merckle (suicide).

Ofcourse the timing of Stanford’s antics is poor, at best. His assets are now frozen, and with owning and controlling banks in the Caribbean and Latin America, he has now brought a mini-recession effect to these regions…

Bill Maher is a Bigotist Asshole

October 27, 2008 at 5:10 am (Celebrities, Entertainment, Life, Rants) (, , , , , , , )

Bill Maher is a smart, very funny comedian. I’m been a fan of his show “Real Time with Bill Maher” since 2003 and I watched all of his standups…but he’ a bigotist asshole, and its really starting to get to me. His movie Religulous, seeks to poke fun at not just Christianity, but religion as a whole. I haven’t had the opportunity of seeing it yet, but I can predict what it will be full of, seeing that he has always had this attitude of being condescending to all who aren’t atheist like him. It seems as if he aims to throw small punches at religion in all of his shows, interviews and appearances : mocking people who believe in angels, calling praying “talking to an imaginary friend”, generalizing all religious people as stupid because he came across a few religious people that apparently are, etc.

Why does he do this? I am a Christian, I went to church today but I am not a frequent Church-goer, nor a 100% believer in 100% complete adherance to every literal word the Bible says, nor the great defender of the Christian faith, as I know there are some things about it, as with all things in life, that should be taken with a few pinchs of salt, so I’m a lot liberal than most Christians, but even I have a problem with Maher.

It seems as if he really does have deep psychological issues that makes him so adamant against religion. If you’re an atheist, and misguided as you are, then fine, believe that, keep it to yourself and stop mocking people’s beliefs. Stop the unfair generalizations of an entire following of people just because you met a few ignorant of them who follow the words of the Bible without question and can’t answer your bullshit pseudo-intellectual questions….just because you can. Don’t you realize whenever you make jokes poking fun at religion 90% of the Friday nights that you do, you don’t get that much laughs? Nobody thinks its that funny, not even Liberals and Libertarians. Stop trying to be George Carlin. Only he can pull it off and be funny..and even with him it was mildy unnerving.

He goes so far as to say that religion isn’t just stupid but its also bad. Only thing bad is his shitty-ass, deceptive movie :

“I wonder whether we’ll hear about other examples of deceptive editing besides this one and the misleading John Adams quote I mentioned earlier. Religulous is a comedy based on making believers look foolish. Yet while he attacks the intellectual dishonesty of religion, his movie seems to be chock full of it.”

“He declared the God of the Old Testament “barbaric” for ordering the Israelites to kill every man, woman, and child during their conquest of Palestine. Now, you and I know there are biblically sound, intellectually satisfying answers to these questions. But people like Bill Maher aren’t really looking for answers, they’re looking for opportunities to ridicule God’s Word and everyone who believes in it. He had no interest in listening to anything I had to say.

(See full details of the total failure and deception of Maher and his movie at

But wow. Religion is bad? He obviously has had the joy and pleasure of living a very trouble-free, non-crisis afflicted, happy go lucky little stupid life. Evidently, because he gets paid a lot just to tell stupid jokes and aggravate people. Try telling patients at a hosptial with only months to live with a Bible, Koran, or whatever holy book of their religion next to them that religion is stupid. Religion gives people hope, inspiration, comfort, strength and solace, common in all denominations of theist faith and others. Why go so out of your way to mock it?

What a sad fool. Its so stupid and pathetic to me to see him consistently depict to the world that he is an ignorant asshole that is more guilty of what he accuses religious people of, being irrational and stupid.

“Some audience members at early screenings of “Religulous” have protested that the film focuses on irrational believers. “That’s not true,” Maher said. “Everybody we talked to was reasonable. They’re normally functioning people. “But if you’re religious, it means you believe in some crazy stuff. And at that point you don’t look reasonable. People think we sought out crazy people and ignored this mythical rational religious person.”

Crank 2 : High Voltage

October 9, 2008 at 5:04 am (Celebrities, Entertainment, Funny, Misc) (, )

Jason Statham’s Crank 2 is due out either late this year or April 2009.

I have no problem with this.

Statham is the biggest thing to hit the action genre since Van Damme.

Crank 1 was a great movie.

It must suck falling out of a helicopter at 10,000+ feet, calling your girlfriend and getting her frigging answering machine

It must suck falling out of a helicopter at 10,000+ feet, calling your girlfriend and getting her frigging answering machine

No, that isn’t some crazy YouTube amateur shit, that was the official end of the movie. Statham’s character Chev Chelios jumps out of a helicopter, struggles with a guy, talks to him, breaks his neck, takes his cellphone out, listens to a message, leaves a voicemail, puts away the phone, then freefalls for an additional 10 seconds or so, lands untop of a car with so much force the car’s hood gets crushed in, Chev ricochets in the air, and lands on the STREET. That’s like a 3-4 mile drop from the SKY. That will most definitely kill anyone. There are cases where people have survived falls such as Vesna Vulovic who amazingly fell out of a plane after it exploded and survived after a 33, 3333 feet fall!

But come on, this man landed on a very solid object, twice i.e CAR and STREET. Has Hollywood totally thrown out the concept of realism and logic to make money now? Noone said don’t make a sequel, but damn, you didn’t have to use the guy that died in the one before it!

Clay Aiken is Gay

September 24, 2008 at 1:36 pm (Celebrities, Entertainment, Funny, Misc, Stupidity) (, )

Clay is gay…According to a People Magazine article, Aiken said “Yes, I’m Gay” and “I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things”. Wow, is this even worth reporting? This is the biggest “surprise” since Lance Bass came out of the closet. You can’t “come out of the closet” if its doors are see-thru AIken, you should have just said so in the first place.

R. Kelly goes Super Saiyajin

April 12, 2008 at 9:15 am (Celebrities, Funny, Misc, Music)

I don’t know what to make of this, but I guess he thought that if people were going to look at him as a child molester regardless of the result of his trial (probably because we all saw him on tape molesting a minor), he might as well start looking like one.

Wrighting off Obama

March 15, 2008 at 8:32 am (Celebrities, Funny, Life, Misc, Politics, Rants, Trinidad, UWI) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Well! There are a number of things I could have blogged about could have been :

Steve-O held with coke (apparently its all 80’s Miami now in Hollywood) going into the nut house..

UWI’s launch of a “virtual campus” in July (the physical one is already in a total mess would the virtual one just be a collection of error messages and viruses?)

a Minister in the Ministry of Finance saying “Fuck you” to everyone that’s concerned about the ridiculous rate of inflation in Trinidad

or my favorite, what came in as a very close second..

the beating and “citizen’s arrest” of 4 men from Ghana trying to sneak into Trinidad from Moruga

But this story just takes the cake, the frosting, ice-cream, candles and the gifts.

Barack Obama has been a member and active follower of the United Trinity Church of Christ in Chicago for over 20 years, a church which describes itself here:

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian… Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain “true to our native land,” the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

Wow. Sounds like a Black Panther/Farrakhanist cult to me. But…it’s a church, and i’m assuming they do pray and stuff…so we can probably let this slide. Obama has been recently trying to force it down the throat of the public that he’s African-American, so news like this can probably go in his favor, especially among Black voters.

..However, the detail of quintessential interest regarding Obama’s affiliation to this church is the role of Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr., who’s been on the job at the church for 36 years :

  • Obama has claimed Wright is his “pastor, friend and spiritual mentor”Obama and Wright
  • Obama claims Wright to be the source of inspiration for his attempt to put himself on equal footing with Hillary Clinton, seeing that she published a best selling book just before running for the Democratic nomination book, “The Audacity of Hope”, modelled after hearing one of his sermons.
  • Mr. Wright is one of the first people Mr. Obama thanked after his election to the Senate in 2004.
  • Mr. Obama personally consulted Wright before deciding to run for President. He prayed privately with Mr. Wright before announcing his candidacy last year.
  • Wright was officially part of Obama’s campaign for President
  • Obama donated $22,500 (and reportedly up to $200,000 in total) to Wright’s church in 2006
  • Wright officiated at Obama’s wedding
  • Wright baptized Obama’s children

In a nutshell, they go way back. Insinuating Obama is trying to court evangelical voters you say? Quite the contrary, unintentional or not.

The problem is Reverend Wright has a history of making the craziest, leftist, most radical, racist, inflammatory comments at his sermons, many of which were faithfully attended by Mr. Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama for the last 20 years. Here are just a few excerpts :

“Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us….No, he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty.”

“Hillary ain’t never been called a n****r.”

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people….God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.” – 2003 sermon

We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye”

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost
(First sermon after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center – September 16th 2001)

lol. Absolutely unbelievable. This truly is Obama’s swiftboat. He began using race as his vehicle to securing the nomination, only to have it breakdown and explode in his face. The whole “i’m Black” thing is now in our faces, but not at all in a positive light. Similar to John Kerry using the swiftboat story as his method for bragging about how heroic he is, only to have it thrown back in his face, raising questions about his honesty and war hero credentials.

Obama is basically best friends with a Black supremicist and an anti-patriot. It doesn’t even matter whether he denounces Farakkhan anymore, if you’re buddies for 20 years with a guy that says the same thing that Farrakhan does. As a matter of fact it raises the question as to whether he really did truely denounce Farakkhan when confronted live with the fact that Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam supports his campaign.

The issue also brings up a number of interesting things about Obama :

  • What is his real reason for not supporting the war in Iraq…? Because its wrong…?…or because America is just a war-mongering state that randomly drops bombs on people..?
  • Did he intentionally not put his arm over his heart for the American anthem because he was really thinking “God Damn America?”
  • Were his wife’s comments about “being proud to be American for the first time” motivated from Wright’s sermons?
  • What does he really think about the Israel/Palestine conflict?
  • Would Wright still be part of his campaign if these facts weren’t brought to light? And if so, if elected as President of the “God-damned” America, what role will Rev. Wright officially play as a personal or official advisor? The fun still doesn’t stop. Even with 1000 words. The Obama campaign has been attempting to control the damage, reluctantly removing Wright from the official campaign and with Obama coming up with a video of a bullshit, sincere as a pathological liar on laughing gas, illogical to anyone with an IQ above 10 denouncement of the pastor’s statements, a considerable time after the story broke, which means he himself reluctantly did so, after leaving room hoping the story would go away.Certain idiots on blogs that I’ve read are also saying shit like “Obama’s minister’s words and beliefs aren’t Obamas” ,“Trinity has done a lot for the community and his words don’t make it racist” and similar nonsensical phrases. This is my response :
  • Why would someone donate thousands of dollars to an organization they kinda support?
  • Technically, the Nazis were a political party too
  • Why would someone wake up every Sunday morning, get dressed, and bring their wife and children to sermons from someone for TWENTY YEARS/20 years/Vingt années/Veinte años/20年/二十年 which contain statements which you “vehemently disagree and strongly condemn”. That, has my honor of being the biggest load of insulting-to-my-intelligence bullshit I’ve ever heard in my life. What the fuck? Were the sermons required courses for his degree? Even for those I walk out or stop going when the lecturer starts straying off-topic and talking irrelevant stuff ….How about Hillary Clinton attending KKK rallies for 20 years, having a Klansman for her godfather and then trying to talk her way out of it…and worse yet carry on her presidential campaign??? Where are the Newsweek articles and covers with Obama’s face with headings like “Is it time to call it quits”?

It really is all amazing. These next few days will be interesting. If this doesn’t scare off white people into not voting for this man, I don’t know what will, a picture of him with Saddam? Obama needs to quit his nonsense, stop his lies and two-facedness, and bow out of the race hoping he gets Secretary of State or something, but most importantly, stop taking us for fucking idiots.

“Mary-Ann” caught with Mary Jane..?

March 12, 2008 at 7:39 am (Celebrities)

Dawn Wells through the years..

Dawn Wells sentenced to 6 months probation for possession of marijuana

No, it isn’t about lesbians. Gary Coleman, Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, Michael Jackson, R.Kelly…now Dawn Wells, better known to us all as the innocent, cute, Mary-Ann from Gilligan’s Island. Well, the curse of fame got her too. She was caught with a good amount of marijuana driving home from a birthday party (she is now 69).  What the fuck is a woman her age doing with weed?? Not to mention lying to the police about it too. Geez, are there any celebrities immune from this fate of a gradual descent into disgrace?
