Wow, Stop Bitching About the New Facebook Already

October 30, 2008 at 4:06 pm (Misc) (, )

If all the members are unique, there are atleast 5 groups on Facebook based on not liking the new design of the site, totalling over 6 million members. The new design (or the dislike of it) is also getting a lot of attention in the media. My question is, why? I don’t have a problem with the new design. If anything I more have a problem with the new Hotmail that takes longer to load than it used to. If you don’t like the new facebook, adapt or migrate. There are tons of other social networking sites like Tagged, MySpace, etc. It just goes to show how much Facebook has dug into the lives of people that millions of them are ready to throw a tantrum because they made minor little stupid changes to it.

Trinifever pt. 2

October 30, 2008 at 3:41 pm (Funny, Trinidad) (, , , )

Wow. It seems as if someone at Trinifever took my blog to heart, kicked out the fucktard “agent22″/Admin who stupidly was trying to defend his actions here, and eliminated the illegal pay system that he so proudly implemented. The following are posts from moderators from the site (in italics) :

“Firstly, Agent was not kicked out.

His admin status was taken away because of his questionable habits. One of them was that $100 verification charge HE implemented, on the guise it was for Trini Fever. It was a load of bullshit.

Agent used to claim HE was the absolute boss here. Reality check. He wasn’t.”

“The true boss asked that an Administrative TEAM be set up, so no one individual can have exclusive control and ABUSE any process, either for selfish gain or any other reason. Agent refused to share power, one reason being he had to share it with those he deemed AGAINST him. It is not our fault if his practices behind the boards were considered unfair or downright inappropriate.

Agent began to argue that he made us as Moderators and that we didn’t make him as Admininistrator. But what he needs to realise is that he made us Moderators of TRINI FEVER to act in the board’s best interests, and not as his personal stooges.”

I don’t believe that really, they seemed pretty content with being stooges at the time.

“Think about it. Imagine being hired by a supervisor in a company, who then goes on to embezzle funds. Where would your loyalties remain, with that corrupt officer or the organisation?

As Moderators, it was OUR DUTY to report our dissatisfaction. It was not a coup d’etat. When he was asked to co-operate as a team member with Admin powers, he REFUSED. He chose to leave and asked for his account to be deleted. If he was using that as a BLUFF TACTIC, it did not work.

I hope this explains the jist of what happened.”

If you’re reading : LOL TO YOU. You’re such an idiot you even got mutinied now. You must feel as stupid as your plan to make money off shit you don’t own was, and feel like shit as you’re now power hungry with no power.

If any of you want your money back, please take it up with the individual it was paid to on your slip.

Trying to make Trini Fever a paysite was ILL-ADVISED and WRONG.”

Pay the people back their money asshole.

Bill Maher is a Bigotist Asshole

October 27, 2008 at 5:10 am (Celebrities, Entertainment, Life, Rants) (, , , , , , , )

Bill Maher is a smart, very funny comedian. I’m been a fan of his show “Real Time with Bill Maher” since 2003 and I watched all of his standups…but he’ a bigotist asshole, and its really starting to get to me. His movie Religulous, seeks to poke fun at not just Christianity, but religion as a whole. I haven’t had the opportunity of seeing it yet, but I can predict what it will be full of, seeing that he has always had this attitude of being condescending to all who aren’t atheist like him. It seems as if he aims to throw small punches at religion in all of his shows, interviews and appearances : mocking people who believe in angels, calling praying “talking to an imaginary friend”, generalizing all religious people as stupid because he came across a few religious people that apparently are, etc.

Why does he do this? I am a Christian, I went to church today but I am not a frequent Church-goer, nor a 100% believer in 100% complete adherance to every literal word the Bible says, nor the great defender of the Christian faith, as I know there are some things about it, as with all things in life, that should be taken with a few pinchs of salt, so I’m a lot liberal than most Christians, but even I have a problem with Maher.

It seems as if he really does have deep psychological issues that makes him so adamant against religion. If you’re an atheist, and misguided as you are, then fine, believe that, keep it to yourself and stop mocking people’s beliefs. Stop the unfair generalizations of an entire following of people just because you met a few ignorant of them who follow the words of the Bible without question and can’t answer your bullshit pseudo-intellectual questions….just because you can. Don’t you realize whenever you make jokes poking fun at religion 90% of the Friday nights that you do, you don’t get that much laughs? Nobody thinks its that funny, not even Liberals and Libertarians. Stop trying to be George Carlin. Only he can pull it off and be funny..and even with him it was mildy unnerving.

He goes so far as to say that religion isn’t just stupid but its also bad. Only thing bad is his shitty-ass, deceptive movie :

“I wonder whether we’ll hear about other examples of deceptive editing besides this one and the misleading John Adams quote I mentioned earlier. Religulous is a comedy based on making believers look foolish. Yet while he attacks the intellectual dishonesty of religion, his movie seems to be chock full of it.”

“He declared the God of the Old Testament “barbaric” for ordering the Israelites to kill every man, woman, and child during their conquest of Palestine. Now, you and I know there are biblically sound, intellectually satisfying answers to these questions. But people like Bill Maher aren’t really looking for answers, they’re looking for opportunities to ridicule God’s Word and everyone who believes in it. He had no interest in listening to anything I had to say.

(See full details of the total failure and deception of Maher and his movie at

But wow. Religion is bad? He obviously has had the joy and pleasure of living a very trouble-free, non-crisis afflicted, happy go lucky little stupid life. Evidently, because he gets paid a lot just to tell stupid jokes and aggravate people. Try telling patients at a hosptial with only months to live with a Bible, Koran, or whatever holy book of their religion next to them that religion is stupid. Religion gives people hope, inspiration, comfort, strength and solace, common in all denominations of theist faith and others. Why go so out of your way to mock it?

What a sad fool. Its so stupid and pathetic to me to see him consistently depict to the world that he is an ignorant asshole that is more guilty of what he accuses religious people of, being irrational and stupid.

“Some audience members at early screenings of “Religulous” have protested that the film focuses on irrational believers. “That’s not true,” Maher said. “Everybody we talked to was reasonable. They’re normally functioning people. “But if you’re religious, it means you believe in some crazy stuff. And at that point you don’t look reasonable. People think we sought out crazy people and ignored this mythical rational religious person.”

Goals came in the second half.

A brilliant combination among Chris Birchall, Carlos Edwards and Russell Latapy resulted in goal number one with Russell scoring for T&T.

The USA equalized shortly after with a defensive blunder from the Trinidadians resulting in a goal from Davies.

Trinidad and Tobago was then awarded a penalty after Stern John was violently pulled down in the box by Altidore. Dwight Yorke easily converted.

A number of attempts were made by the US strikers after, but they were all off target.

I believe this is one of the few or even first win over the USA by Trinidad in football of all time.

The victory coincides with Cuba also beating Guatemala by 2-1, which places Trinidad in a good position to advance to the next round of qualification should they beat Cuba.

Wow….is God really a Trini??

Typical UWI Student

October 15, 2008 at 3:10 am (Funny, Life, Trinidad) (, , , , , , , , )

This is already online as it was sent in to 2 major local newspapers, the Newsday and the Trinidad Guardian and both published it today, October 14th. I however felt the urge to scan it as further solid proof of the legendary stupidity of UWI students. Please, for a good laugh, check out the letter below that this girl (who also included her name!!) submitted as some sort of appeal to get back her very expensive Samsonite bag which she nonchalantly left outside of the UWI library.
Typical UWI student
Typical UWI student
The history of the “bag outside of the library” thing is interesting. Years ago before Bhoe Tewarie was principal and the university did not function as a free-for-all accept anyone money factory, people put their bags outside of the library when they were just too lazy to go walk back to their locker…or because they didn’t have a locker seeing that they were always scarce. Incidents where people got their bags stolen outside of the library began almost instantly with Tewarie’s 15,000+ a year student intake (amounts to a 300-400% increase) and smart people began to not carry their bags inside. Noob freshers come in every year and see the few slack final-year students like myself who may be lazy on a particular day and leave their bags outside…and think that’s some sort of “in” thing and do it to death.
On my last visit to UWI, there were about 60 bookbags all just thrown outside of library, with their owners inside. Despite the numerous incidents of people losing their bags from this stupid practice,  despite the  flyers stuck across campus with people begging to have their bags returned after they themself engaged in this stupid practice, despite the new signs posted clearly outside of the library advising students to not leave their bags there as UWI has more lockers…..people continue to leave their bags outside of the library. Its gotten so bad the girl’s bag was gone in 15 minutes.
The audacity and sheer stupidity of her to then publicly identify herself as yet another person to throw their personal belongings in front of a public place, leave it unattended, and expect to get it back intact when you’re done checking your facebook friend requests in the lab inside. Why don’t I throw my wallet in front of the mall before going in to prevent me from spending too much money, go in, eat, watch a movie and come back and seek to find it???
And listen to her amazing description, as if her audience wasn’t already lost or rolling on the floor laughing at the first sight of “UWI…student….leaves…bag…outside…library….bag gone” :

The right strap is starting to wear out and there may be one or two pen marks on the
interior. It has seven pockets, including a sleeve in the main compartment that could fit a laptop. I had it in a black woolen sweater; two notebooks, one light blue thick hardcover Scholar with various course handouts inside, the other, a bright pink ringed John Dickenson for scrap work; a paperback novel..LG phone charger…bottle of tylenol….There were also some sweetie wrappers, flyers and two bright pink buttons in what should be the right-hand side pocket..

Holy shit. She even remembered she had candy wrappers and the colour AND NUMBER of buttons that were in the “right-hand side pocket” of the bag.

With memory like that, why can’t she remember the numerous incidents where this already happened, and NOT BE ANOTHER STATISTIC?

Stupid, naive and misplaced indignation sums up the entire affair. Typical UWI student.

R.E.O Speedwagon Concert in Port-of-Spain Review

October 13, 2008 at 7:44 am (Entertainment, Music) (, , )

The show started off with Vertical Horizon, who were actually alright. They sang their hits “You’re a God” and “Everything You Want” and a few other decent songs. Lead singer Matt Scannell even said he had a roti at Hott Shoppe in St. James earlier.

Rick Springfield put on a very energetic, engaging performance. He performed “Don’t Talk to Strangers”, “Jessie’s Girl”, “Human Touch” and his new song for the year “What’s Victoria’s Secret”. He was pulled off the stage about 3 times by fans until they brought police officers and the big buff guy that does the commercials for Green Sands beer as bodyguard. He sang “Don’t Talk to Strangers” while walking through the VIP crowd letting patrons sing the chorus. He walked far into the crowd, almost to my section (Special Reserved) while performing “Human Touch”, seemingly wanting to touch as many fans as possible. Even if you don’t like his music, his performance was definitely entertaining.

R.E.O Speedwagon were boring. After performing “Can’t Fight This Feeling Anymore” and “Keep on Loving You” much to everyone’s delight….they just churned out a bunch of generic shit that noone really seemed to remember and all of them sounded the same. Lead singer for the band Kevin Cronin even admitted that HE HIMSELF forgot the lyrics for one of these songs but performed it because of a “letter from a fan”.

All in all it was alright. Still a waste of time in my opinion because the promoters still insist of bringing these 80’s groups that had a few hits before I was born. Sure they were ok, but I would much rather attend a more mainstream contemporary set of bands or band e.g. Linkin Park, Incubus, Creed, Hoobastank, etc.

International Friendly – Trinidad 9 – Dom. Rep 0

October 9, 2008 at 5:28 am (Football, Sports, Trinidad) (, , , , , , , , )

Trinidad demolished the Dominican Republic yesterday evening in an international friendly at Port-of- Spain by frigging NINE GOALS to NIL.

Jason Scotland the Swansea striker got a hat trick, Cornell Glen the former LA Galaxy man got a hat trick as well, a poor Dominican Republic defender Federico Peralta conceded an own goal, and Anthony Wolffe and Daryl Roberts scored late in the second half.

This is what they should have been doing all the time. A giant crushes an ant, it doesn’t struggle with it and gets bruises and narrowly defeats it.

We can only hope for a good outcome for the crucial qualifer on Saturday when they face Guatemala.

Crank 2 : High Voltage

October 9, 2008 at 5:04 am (Celebrities, Entertainment, Funny, Misc) (, )

Jason Statham’s Crank 2 is due out either late this year or April 2009.

I have no problem with this.

Statham is the biggest thing to hit the action genre since Van Damme.

Crank 1 was a great movie.

It must suck falling out of a helicopter at 10,000+ feet, calling your girlfriend and getting her frigging answering machine

It must suck falling out of a helicopter at 10,000+ feet, calling your girlfriend and getting her frigging answering machine

No, that isn’t some crazy YouTube amateur shit, that was the official end of the movie. Statham’s character Chev Chelios jumps out of a helicopter, struggles with a guy, talks to him, breaks his neck, takes his cellphone out, listens to a message, leaves a voicemail, puts away the phone, then freefalls for an additional 10 seconds or so, lands untop of a car with so much force the car’s hood gets crushed in, Chev ricochets in the air, and lands on the STREET. That’s like a 3-4 mile drop from the SKY. That will most definitely kill anyone. There are cases where people have survived falls such as Vesna Vulovic who amazingly fell out of a plane after it exploded and survived after a 33, 3333 feet fall!

But come on, this man landed on a very solid object, twice i.e CAR and STREET. Has Hollywood totally thrown out the concept of realism and logic to make money now? Noone said don’t make a sequel, but damn, you didn’t have to use the guy that died in the one before it!

Bleach Filler Arc is Done

October 9, 2008 at 4:34 am (Anime, news) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Episode 189 :

Yes kids from next week the real Bleach is back, i.e the campaign vs Aizen. No more annoying Lurichiyo and her 2 gay Shinigami bodyguards and no more Amagai Shuusuke.

Yeah its about time

Yeah its about time

Its just the filler arc and I’m fedup having to cover my eyes and unapprove comments that contain spoilers from the manga, so this time I’ll spoil it for you 🙂

Ichigo beats Amagai, in that dramatic cliché move that’s been used since Rurouni Kenshin : they run into each other, then end up facing the opposite direction with their swords out some distance away from each other, then one suddenly drops and is “defeated”. That wasn’t enough to kill Amagai however, so Yoruichi and the other captains show up and pwn him. Not through fighting, but in the mind as they reveal the truth to him. Turns out Yamamoto only killed Amagai’s father out of self-defense, as he was driven mad by the Bakkoutou shit and actually attacked him first…so..Amagai’s basically an idiot. He then uses his sword to commit suicide, with his last scene shown above.

Now we have stuff to look forward too. Not to mention an upcoming movie, Bleach : Fade to Black- I Call Your Name coming out on December 13th. Here is the plot summary :

A mysterious reiatsu explosion occurs in the center of Seireitei in Soul Society, causing it to be destroyed. At the exact same time, a major change overwhelms Kuchiki Rukia, which leaves her losing something important inside. Urahara Kisuke sends Kurosaki Ichigo to Soul Society to investigate the disturbance. Upon reaching Seireitei, Ichigo is set upon and attacked by shinigamis, once allies, who have no memory of him and Rukia. Now alone and on the run, Ichigo must find the missing Rukia and uncover the cause of the mysterious incident before it’s too late.

Great. Now we just have to wait 400 days to see the subbed version of it : S
